Battle of the Loose Powders | Tara

Why not let your powders roam free ? I picked up two talked-about loose setting powders recently and these are my thoughts.

Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder: $28 for .35 oz
I picked up this powder on recommendation from Missglamorazzi on Youtube. I searched high and low throughout Sephora and this powder was no where to be found. Finally searched online and there it was! I'm not sure when this beloved powder is going to be available in stores, but you can purchase it here  I have the color Translucent Natural.

Pros
- Keeps foundation in place
-Non cakey even after reapplying
- Keeps oil at bay
-You get a lot of product for the price

Cons
-Messy packaging: Don't wear anything you care about while applying.

Too Faced Primed & Porelesss Powder: $30 for .16 oz
The Too Faced Primed & Poreless line has everything from eye and face primers to powders (both pressed and loose) but for the sake of this comparison I went with the loose powder. Claims to adjust to any skin tone, while leaving your face with a smooth finish and blur the look of any pores or fine lines.

Pros
- Leaves a smooth to touch finish on face
-Packaging is sealed enough so when you open it, powder doesn't fly everywhere (unlike MUFE)
-Doesn't look too white on skin, truly translusent

Cons
- Isn't oil controlling, finds that skin gets oily throughout the day
- Less than half the size of MUFE powder, and $2 more

Conclusion: I will keep both, using the MUFE powder as a daily setting powder to control oil, especially during the summer months; While using the Too Faced Powder to smooth skin and provide a "poreless" look.
